The Brown Bag Program offers Scottsdale seniors a bi-monthly food distribution on the 1st and 3rd Thursday morning of every month. The bags consists of five or six different items such as fresh vegetables, canned goods, drinks, breads and cold food items. The Brown Bag program is supported by Scottsdale Community Partners, a non-profit 501(c)(3) agency, in addition to grant funding provided by the city of Scottsdale. Efforts are coordinated through HonorHealth and St. Mary’s Food Bank to provide the items distributed. The purpose of this application is to meet the requirements of various entities who help support this food supplement program.

Brown Bag Registration Requirements

Guidelines:
  • Must be a Scottsdale resident
  • Age 62 years and older, or adults with a disability
  • Monthly income below $1,976/household of 1 or below $2,657/household of two or more

Must provide a copy of photo ID, proof of Scottsdale residency and household income documents:

  1. Proof of Scottsdale residency
    • Utility Bill (SRP, APS, SWG, City of Scottsdale Water)
    • Leases/Mortgage statements
  2. Identity documents
    • Identification (Arizona Driver's license, Arizona Identification card, U.S. passport)
  3. Monthly household income documents
    • Social Security award letter (including SSI, SSDI)
    • Bank Account Statements
